Gorge-ous Bike Ride

The Gorge-ous Bike Ride was an amazing event. Twenty nine riders participated in the personal challenge of riding 17km of trails and road!

Thank you to Ryan for the creative energy that made this race happen and to Alex who supported the endeavor whole heartedly! Thank you to Bill and Tammy and the Gorge Harbour Marina Resort for being our major sponsor and providing our dinner spread and free camping for registrants, and to our other sponsors, Hollyhock, Naked Cycles (Quadra), Gathering Place, Monkey Wrench Bikes, and Faultline TV. Thank you to Rebeka at Hollyhock, Lucy, Diane and Channel Rock for making us goodies to share. 

Thank you to the land owners who were so accommodating and flexible, allowing us to pass through their property, especially Island Timberlands, who waived their non-exclusive license fee.

We look forward to bringing this economic initiative for our forests and island to Cortes again next year! $700 was raised for the Children’s Forest Trust and the Whaletown Commons
